MISSION STATEMENT :
"to
ensure that the academic, practical and professional development
of each graduate is such that she or he will deliver beauty and body
therapy treatments to the public with the enthusiasm, empathy and
expertise they are entitled to expect and, in our opinion, is essential
in today’s busy world where people come to the clinic or spa
to relax and recover their equilibrium."
Helen O' Sullivan Quinn, CIDESCO, CIBTAC, ITEC, IITD, is Managing Director and Principal of Pembroke College.
Helen is herself a former student of the college. She continued her training with Steiner in London before working as a therapist on the Cruise Ships in the Caribbean. Having spent some years in the retail end of the busines she decided to make a career in Training and Development.
Helen has been the prime motivator in the successful development and supervision of training programmes at Pembroke for the last six years.
Helen is also a member of the Irish Institute of Training and Development.
Being very aware of the psychological role that individual differences play in career choice, one of the fundamental tenets of Helens philosophy of training is that prospective students should have a comprehensive career consultation in order that they can be guided on the path that best suits their personality. Consequently applicants for all courses must first attend a private consultation with Helen.
School leavers must attend with one or other of their parents of guardians. In this way their suitability can be accessed and their hopes and aspirations clarified.
It is a free consultation.
The College has
10 staff members in total who are involved in the running of both
Day and Evening
International Diploma Courses in Beauty and Body Therapy.
Classes are purposefully kept small - 14 students only per
tutor as
individual attention is a prerequisite to successful training outcomes.
